Executive Director, Matthew Hollist, D.N., N.D.
Dr. Hollist is Co-Founder and current Executive Director of the International Institute of Natural Wellness Education. He has worked in natural wellness for 15 years. Starting out as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, Prof. Hollist then continued on to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor, and then completing a second Diplomate in Naprapathy. He is certified in Scandinavian Mobilization Therapy and an active member of the American Naturopathic Medical Association. His clinical experience includes a diverse application of manual therapies along with dietary, herbal, nutritional, homeopathic and lifestyle consulting. This balance of diverse manual therapies and traditional naturopathic modalities has given Prof. Hollist a rounded understanding on how to apply all aspects of Naturopathic and holistic modalities into one system of effective practice.
Dr. Hollist has spent a significant portion of his career formulating herbal and nutritional products for several companies and owned his own private label nutrition company for 7 years. He left the field of nutritional formulation and production to expand his reach as an internationally recognized educator in the field of natural wellness specializing in many traditional Naturopathic assessment styles as well neuro-lingual reflex assessment. He also has vast training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) techniques such as TCM pulse analysis, face analysis and acupoint balancing. He has taught for several organizations and aside from duties as Executive Director of the Int'l Institute of Natural Wellness Education, Prof. Hollist is also one of the principle professors for the Institute.
Director of Business Services, Deonna Hollist, CFO
Deonna Hollist graduated cum laude from the Marriott School of Business with a double major in Organizational Behavior and Recreational Management and Youth Leadership. She has always enjoyed business and has twice been named Business Woman of the Year. Her passion has been helping and serving others and she has volunteered in many community organizations throughout her life.
After finishing college she worked for a non-profit organization named Friends of the Orphans which helped orphaned and abandoned children in eight countries in Mexico and Central America. She then worked for the Albertsons Corporate Office in Project Management. Her husband Matthew and herself became self-employed and started several companies including Max Farms, Health Nut Corner and the Int'l Institute of Natural Wellness Education. Deonna wrote and was awarded a $50,000 grant for their business Max Farms.
Deonna is now the Chief Financial Officer for the International Institute of Natural Wellness Education. She finds joy in helping others learn about natural wellness and the impact people can have on their own health, body and spirit; as well as their families and friends.
Director Of Clinical Advisment, Laurence Smith, C.N.H.C., B.A.
Professor Laurence Smith is a Traditional Naturopath and Certified Natural Health Consultant. He has been a dynamic, internationally recognized educator in the field of natural wellness for over 10 years. He is known for his ability to teach from the heart and help others realize the importance of this mission to inspire others to walk the path of wellness. He teaches for several organizations. Along with his work for the Int'l Institute of Natural Wellness Education, he does extensive national lecturing of Nature's Sunshine Products and is an NSP Regional Manager. He is also a Zone Certified Instructor.
Professor Smith has his B.A. in social work and is very adapt in balancing the emotional effects of life and the physical manifestation that results. He is a firm believer in treating the body as a whole and that all illness before it manifests physically has an emotional/spiritual component that must also be addressed.
Prof. Smith found wellness 28 years ago after suffering two major heart attacks. He has studied and dedicated his life to natural health and health education. He has been studying natural health for over 20 years. He owns and operates a wellness clinic, Health Partners, Inc. in Boise, ID. He has written and published several invaluable booklets and other educational materials on wellness related topics.
Director Of Program Development, Ivy Hunt, Board Certified Traditional Naturopath
Ivy Hunt is a lifelong learner. She enjoys learning something new every day and has many interests. She is a graduate of the Int’l Institute of Natural Wellness Education program. She is a Nationally Board Certified Traditional Naturopath. Her passion has always been seeking knowledge and using that knowledge to benefit others. For the past 15 years she has volunteered her time to a non-profit soccer club where she is the Registrar, and she has promoted growth from 250 kids per year to 1200 soccer players per year. Her husband of 26 years, and herself own a flight school. She leaves the flying up to her husband, though. Homeschooling was her vigor for 18 years with 4 children. She has also held positions in the Boys Scouts of America as a Pack Committee Chair, Pack Trainer, District Daycamp Director, District Training Chairman, and a District Eagle Reviewer. She was awarded the District Award of Merit in 2009. She is currently studying Iridology. Camping, hunting, and breathing the fresh air of the Idaho mountains are some of her favorite hobbies. She is in heaven when amongst the pine trees. Ivy has a passion for natural health, solving problems, and going the extra mile. She is thrilled to be involved with our school as the Director of Program Development and is looking forward to a great future in the natural health world; the next chapter of her life.
Board Of Directors, Ray Lambert, B.A.
Ray Lambert sits on the Board of Directors for the International institute of Natural Wellness Education as Director of Market Development. He was educated at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. He has taught natural health, herbs and nutritional supplements for over 26 years, in 46 of the 50 states, plus Korea and Canada.
He also has extensive expertise in innovative marketing. Ray has taught Business Management Skills as an adjunct instructor for Moutainland Applied Technology College (MTEC) since 2010. Ray is also currently the Chief Learning Officer at Plan and Prepare Now. In 2017, after 23 wonderful years, Ray retired from Nature's Sunshine Products where he established a reputation of passion for natural wellness education. For 36 years, Ray was privileged to be married to his very dearest friend, the late Kerri Ann Lambert. When he is not inspiring others with his enthusiasm and drive in natural wellness he is enjoying his 7 wonderful children and 12 amazing grandchildren.
Board Of Directors, Neil Schultz, Board Certified Traditional Naturopath
Neil has been very personally involved in Natural Health for 9 years since being diagnosed with terminal Cancer. He has taken the road of Natural Medicine to stay alive. There has been no Oncologist in Neil’s medical history because they simply said there was nothing an Oncologist could do for him, so he was left in the care of his surgeon. This lead to a very busy beginning of endless reading, classes and testing. He is a graduate of the Know Your Wellness Traditional Naturopath Program and is also Nationally Board Certified through the ANMCB and is and active member of the ANMA. He is also a TNC from Karen’ Hollistic Health. Neil has also pursued extensive work and training in Homeopathy and is a Certified expert in Homeoprophylaxis from world renowned Dr. Cilla Whatcott. Neil has also certified in Bio-feedback testing and is trained in Cupping, Guasha, Accutouch Therapy, Tuning Fork Therapy, other sound and vibrational therapies and Pain, Anxiety and Depression therapy from Dr. Howard Schubiner. Neil is a co-owner of Integrative Bio Health with his wife of 44 years Debra. Together they teach classes in all things related to Health and Nutrition using a strong scriptural foundation. Neil teaches classes in Homeopathy and Homeoprophylaxis. Neil and Debra are the parents of 3 children, two Boys and a Girl and have 12 Grandchildren. Neil considers his cancer diagnosis to be a blessing.
Board Of Director, Debbie Schultz, Board Certified Traditional Naturopath
Debra Schultz BCTN – Has been into natural health for over 35 years. She is a co-owner in a Health business with her husband Neil. She teaches classes and does personal consultations and treatments. She is a Board Certified Traditional Naturopath. She loves to teach others how to reactivate their bodies own healing mechanism through holistically healing the body, mind, heart, and spirit. She has been trained and certified in these modalities – Herbal and Therapeutic Nutrition, Bio-Feed Back Assessment Testing, Sound and Vibrational Therapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Chakra Alignment, Reiki, Aroma-Therapy, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, EFT and Energy Psychology, Mind Body Syndrome, Native American Medicine Woman and Shaman, Student of Chinese and Ayurveda Medicine and a voracious learner and student of all God’s Traditional Original Medicine!
Debra has been married to her husband Neil for 44 years. They are the parents of two sons and a daughter and 12 grandchildren.
Adj. Professor, Daniel Nuzum, N.D., D.N., Ph.D.
Dr. Nuzum is a Naturopath, Naprapath, Native American Practitioner and Mechanotherapist. For over 14 years he has specialized in and practices holistic therapies, Naprapathy, Mechanotherapy, and Elats Kowat (a form of Mayan healing). Dr. Nuzum also has a background in Oriental medicine, medical acupuncture, darkfield microscopy and iridology. Prof. Nuzum is a qualified Naturopathic Physician that utilizes nutrition, nutritional food as medicine, and Western and Oriental herbal remedies. He treats musculoskeletal conditions using a combination of manipulation, massage, soft tissue therapy and physical modalities from Naprapathy, Mechanotherapy, Tui Na and Elats Kowat. Dr. Nuzum was a Professor and the Clinical Director at the Central States College of Health Sciences for 7 years, after working in Mexico for 2 years, and has been working very closely with both Native American and Oriental Medicine Practitioners since 2007. He has also been formulating products since 1998.
In 1994, Dr. Nuzum began his formal studies in both Naturopathic and Naprapathic Medicine. He graduated in 1999 with degrees from the Southern College of Naturopathic Medicine and the North American College of Naprapathic Medicine after completing a 2 year internship in Manzanillo, Jalsco, Mexcio. Dr. Nuzum also received various certificates from different religious seminaries during this time. Beginning in 2001, he began his studies with the Syriac-Greek Antiochian Synod of the Orthodox Catholic Church, and obtained the degree of Doctor of Chiropathy from them in late 2002. At which time he also studied and became a Professor at the Central States College of Health Sciences, where he operated and maintained the schools 2 clinics (in Toledo and Columbus, Ohio). Dr. Nuzum graduated in October of 2004 with the dual degrees of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Doctor of Mechanotherapy from the college. He went on to finish a
1800+ apprenticeship in Manual Therapy and Medical Acupuncture at the Central States College of Health Sciences finishing in late 2006. In conjunction with his work with the Int'l Institute of Natural Wellness Education, Dr. Nuzum is also a Professor at Pan Am University in Nevis, West Indies and Loma Linda, Ecuador. He is a Professor of Naturopathic Medicine, Osteopathy and Oriental Medicine for the University.
